Wow! Now this looks hot. I didn't read all the intro stuff, just looked at the pages, but this is a winner here.

OVERVIEW
Clipstick! is the story of five mafia wives in the 1940’s who, tired of the mistreatment and mismanagement of their lives by their gangster husbands and fathers, attempt to overthrow the male heirs of The National Crime Syndicate. Yep, Ian is a super talent. I've been on the phone with one publisher who wants to know when we can get colored pages, because they dig it :)

Yeah the art is strong on this. Get the same quality to the finished pages ie inks/colors ..And you'll have a winner.
looks read purdy.
I will take a closer look when I have a chance.
there's been many times when a non pro has pointed something out to me that i had missed before, and believe it or not, they can be right on occasion, *cough* ugga *cough*.

Awesome! I love the noir-ish look to it. Reads real well. Can't wait to see more.
This looks awesome.
The art's top-notch, this is a great artist you found, who's style really matches the feel you're going for.
I'm definitely putting it on my "to-read" list.

Thanks guys. Once the cover is done, it's back to talking with publishers and crossing fingers. There has been some strong interest in this one based on the pencils and synopsis alone, but everyone wanted finished art before talking about anything official.
Ironically, he found me.
I wrote a zombie short for Warmageddon Quarterly, and the publisher hired Ian to do the art for it. After it came out, Ian sent me a PM on digital webbing to thank me for the excellent script. I was uncharacteristically humble, because I thought (and still think) his art carried the story. After a couple emails about how much we loved each others' work, we decided to collab on something, which turned into this.
It's probably been my favorite collaboration, because it's been truly that: a shared creation built around a shared respect for each others' work.
Which is pretty damn cool.

Very pretty, Rich! The only suggestion I have is for the artist to make the layouts a little more clear. Panels are butting up to each other that share similar color tones (mainly on the first page - cutting the flow of my eyes) and some panel overlapping images are stealing my focus before it should (like the hand in the last panel of page 4). The art is very technically sound though, and I'm glad you were able to find someone to collab with. Good luck you two!
